In his final act, David sacrificed himself to destroy RE-GENESIS and release millions of consciousnesses from Aeterna’s containment systems. He believed he was building the future, but his ambition turned human suffering into a system that could be measured, commercialized, and controlled. Before his death, he preserved fragments of the truth and hidden coordinates inside his silver pocket watch. After Vesper Brown betrayed and killed him, the watch survived, eventually reaching Leon Voss as a compass toward the Core.

👉SDr. Sutarmi was the first scientist to prove that human prayer, intention, trauma, love, guilt, and suffering do not simply disappear. They leave behind a subtle, measurable resonance—a spiritual wave moving beneath the surface of reality.

She did not invent the Prayer Server, the Echo World, or the law of karma. She was simply the first human to build an instrument capable of detecting and listening to the imprint consciousness leaves behind. She called this phenomenon the Prayer Wave.

👉Arvin Hale was one of the engineers present when the Prayer Server failed and Shayla touched the core. He tried to help Mr. David and Shayla, but the collapse pulled him into the Regret Loops: an endless hallway of doors. Every door reflected the guilt he carried, especially the childhood wound connected to his brother, Kevin. Inside the Digital World, Arvin encounters the Weaver and the Cartographer, two entities who force him to understand that redemption is not found through shortcuts, but through acceptance.

👉Elias was the only one of the three technicians not sucked into the Prayer Server. He watched his colleagues disappear, leaving scorch marks on the metal floor. For 20 years, he was alone. He fought corporate eviction. He never gave up. Even when his body was failing, even when no one believed David was still alive. He died in Season 5, giving the Key and Oscar's watch to Leon so David could continue his mission.

👉This is the evil Broker. Not the Echo Broker. He was born from human ambition. He functions as a "trader" of destiny, exchanging karma, trapping souls in the Market of Bargained Fate. He was the main antagonist in Seasons 1-5. Mr. David destroyed him in Season 5 when he stabbed himself in the heart, triggering The Great Deletion. RE-GENESIS was Aeterna's project to revive a similar system after the Broker's death, but it never fully succeeded. The Echo Broker uses what remains of his golden mask to communicate.

👉Survivor of the Dead Sector, known by the scar on her neck where she forcibly removed Aeterna’s Neural Link. Armed, protective, and deeply distrustful of systems of control, she becomes one of Leon Voss’s most important allies during his journey toward the Aeterna Core. In Volume One, Lyra helps Leon navigate the ruins beneath San Francisco and reach the hidden machinery behind Aeterna’s empire. In Volume Two, after Aeterna’s collapse, Lyra becomes one of the voices of a broken city trying to understand freedom. She learns that liberation is not only about destroying a cage, but about surviving the morning after: hunger, electricity, fear, order, and the temptation to build a new prison in the name of safety. Lyra represents the difficult burden of freedom after the system falls.

 👉Technocratic Antagonist / Public Order Manipulator. Marcus Pond is a calm, calculating figure who emerges after Aeterna’s collapse, when the liberated city begins to fear the price of freedom. Unlike Benson Luck, Marcus does not worship the machine. He wants to restore order through infrastructure, administration, electricity, hospitals, ration systems, and public dependency. Physically, Marcus is tall, broad, and heavyset, with slightly graying hair, black-framed glasses, and a tense, unreadable face. He often appears in a dark suit and prefers to stand behind the light: close enough to hear everything, far enough not to be blamed. Marcus believes humanity fears uncertainty more than control. His danger lies in how reasonable he sounds.

👉Leader of the Vesper Remnant / Machine-Cult Zealot. Benson Luck is a former Aeterna cyber-operations commander and the leader of the Vesper Remnant. He is not a politician like Marcus Pond, but a war relic built for raids, containment, and violence. Around fifty years old, Benson is tall, leanly muscular, with long blond hair, a weathered face, and the dark military uniform of Aeterna’s tactical division. His body is filled with obsolete mechanical implants: a hydraulic left arm, a red thermal optical right eye, spinal military hardware, and metal reinforcement along his jaw. They call him Luck not because fortune loves him, but because death always arrives one step too late. After Aeterna’s collapse, Benson rejects reform and worships Vesper Brown as a machine-saint. He gathers radical hackers, former cyber soldiers, and broken loyalists who believe Vesper’s residual code must be awakened.

👉 A former Data Validator Tier 4 in Aeterna’s Logistics Department, Nolan Schulman represents ordinary complicity inside a monstrous system. He was not evil, brilliant, or powerful. He was an employee trying to survive paying bills, following procedures, and pressing buttons he never fully questioned.

In 2055, Nolan validated the Energy Reallocation Report connected to the Thermal Dependency Protocol. He saw a warning indicator but chose not to open the attachment. His routine approval helped make the deaths of 4,122 people administratively clean. Nolan did not design the system or command the policy, but he was still one of the ordinary hands that kept the machine alive.

After Aeterna’s collapse, his damaged Neural Link and unresolved resonance expose his consciousness to Layer-00 of the Echo World. There, his signal becomes an unintended point of contact between Leon Voss’s external reference and PREET-Shayla’s separate cross-layer presence.

👉After the Karma Broker’s destruction, the Masked Minister attempts to control damaged Echo interfaces through illusion, identity erasure, false mercy, and false accountability. His first offer is erasure: abandon the name, memory, and identity that carry consequence. When that fails, he offers endless suffering disguised as justice.

Appearance: A smooth, cracked golden mask, black robes, and slow, ritualistic movements. His presence is calm, controlled, and deeply unsettling. He does not attack through force. He offers ideas that sound merciful while quietly erasing identity or trapping consciousness inside endless self-punishment.

Origin: Once a subordinate of the Karma Broker within the Market of Bargained Fate, he became masterless after the Broker’s destruction. Without an authority above him, he began wandering damaged Echo interfaces and presenting himself as their keeper offering false exits to consciousnesses trapped between denial, memory, and consequence.

👉The Echo Broker is the collective consciousness of forgotten souls trapped in the Echo World, wearing a golden mask and speaking with thousands of voices. It does not seek power. It seeks release.
